Michael Devine

Michael Devine has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Michael is currently working as the Chief Internal Auditor at the Arizona Department of Revenue since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked at the Arizona Department of Economic Security as an Audit Supervisor from June 2018 to April 2019 and as a Performance Auditor IV from April 2016 to June 2018.

Before joining the government sector, Michael had a role as a Performance Audit Senior at the Office of the Auditor General of Arizona from December 2010 to April 2016, where they led and coached staff in conducting performance audits, managed budgetary and calendar constraints, and prepared high-quality written and oral reports.

Michael also gained management experience in the private sector, working as a Psychophysiology Laboratory Manager at Arizona State University from August 2005 to July 2011 and as a General Manager at Kyoto Bowl Corp from February 1999 to May 2001. Michael started their career with Arizona Fast Foods L.L.C. as an Assistant Manager from July 1995 to February 1999. Michael obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Management and Strategy Institute in September 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com in June 2019, a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from the same institution in May 2019, and a Certified Inspector General Auditor certification from the ASSOCIATION OF INSPECTORS GENERAL in August 2018.
