Mis Stan Knapik

Stan Knapik has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Stan began their career in 1993 as a Finance Specialist at DHL Express, where they managed customer receivables accounts and coordinated with sales staff. In 1996, they were promoted to Finance Supervisor, overseeing a team responsible for customer account collections and resolving billing and service issues. From 1998 to 2001, Stan served as a Finance System Reporting Supervisor, designing reports and metrics for sales and credit management.

In 2001, Stan became a Global Project Manager at DHL Express, producing a Business Requirements Statement for a global billing system and creating business use cases. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as an IT Finance Manager/Controller, managing telecom billing and analyzing IT project business cases for ROI. Stan also served as a subject matter expert for an IT Supply/Demand SAP implementation.

In 2007, Stan transitioned to a Senior IT Business/Cost Analyst role at DHL Express, producing and analyzing financial results for the Global IT Infrastructure group and evaluating project business cases. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as an IT Finance Manager at Apollo Group, implementing a technology management solution and managing the consolidation of IT assets.

Stan joined Maricopa County in 2014 as a Senior ERP Applications Programmer/Analyst, leading requirements gathering and quality testing for ERP interfaces and reports. Stan coordinated activities across various business functions and IT stakeholders. In 2016, they became the Quality Assurance Manager at State of Arizona, overseeing quality assurance activities. Most recently, in 2019, Stan assumed the role of Senior Applications Development Manager at the Arizona Department of Revenue.

Throughout their career, Stan has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, project management, ERP implementation, and IT cost control.

Stan Knapik obtained their B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Houston, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Stan later pursued a Masters in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, specializing in Management Information Systems, which they completed between 2012 and 2014. Additionally, Stan has obtained several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in December 2020, the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from GoLeanSixSigma.com in February 2019, and the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from GoLeanSixSigma.com in November 2017.
