Doug Southard

Doug Southard has extensive experience in various roles related to snow management, real estate, and maritime operations. At Arizona Snowbowl since 1983, Doug has served as a Groomer/Equipment Operator, Grooming Supervisor, and Snow Removal Supervisor, focusing on slope maintenance and trail building. Prior to this, Doug worked as a Veterans Counselor at Northern Arizona University, assisting veterans with GI Bill benefits. Early in Doug's career, roles included Realtor positions at Raskin Estates and with Hugh Menefee, as well as maritime positions as First Mate aboard a yacht and Crew Member at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Doug's military background includes service in the United States Coast Guard, where Doug advanced from Fireman/Engineer to supervising engineering teams aboard the USCGC Jarvis 725. Doug's education includes studies at Northern Arizona University and specialized training through the US Coast Guard.
