Alma Chavez Strasser has over 20 years of experience in development and community relations roles. Alma currently serves as the Director of Development for ASU's College of Health Solutions, where they lead the college's development program and secures philanthropic investments. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Individual and Major Gifts at Valley of the Sun United Way, managing a team and closing transformative gifts for the organization. Alma has also held senior development positions at ASU's College of Public Service and Community Solutions and UCP of Central Arizona, where they directed fund development and secured significant funding. Additionally, they have experience in community relations as the Director at Mario E Diaz and Associates and the Director of Community Affairs at Chicanos Por La Causa.
