Manuel de Castro e Almeida has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Manuel recently worked as the Head of Research at ARK Group DMCC since February 2019. Prior to this, Manuel was a Visiting Fellow at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from September 2018 to September 2019.

Manuel earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in International Relations from Durham University, where they studied from 2005 to 2006.
