Michael L. Ankton

Michael L. Ankton is an experienced educator and community leader, currently serving as a Social Studies Teacher and Lead 7th Grade Teacher at Arkadelphia Public Schools since October 2020. In addition to teaching, Ankton is a Justice of the Peace for District 2 of Clark County and holds the position of Licensed Funeral Director at Williams Funeral Home, Inc. Responsibilities also include serving as Enrichment Coordinator for the Dawson 21st CCLC After School Program. Previous experience includes roles as a Mentor/Educator with AmeriCorps, an Emergency Dispatcher for the Arkadelphia Police Department, and a Director of Public Relations at Mitchell Funeral Home. Ankton's educational background includes a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Henderson State University, along with degrees in Social Science Education and Criminal Justice.
