Michael Sappington

Michael Sappington has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation since February 2023. Prior to this position, Michael worked as Senior Counsel at Today's Power, Inc. from July 2022 to February 2023, and as Counsel at the Arkansas Public Service Commission from November 2021 to June 2022. Michael's previous roles include Assistant Attorney General at the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, Senior Attorney - Regulatory & Compliance at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation, and Staff Attorney at the Arkansas Public Service Commission. Additionally, Michael served as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the 22nd Judicial District of Saline County, AR, from September 2008 to May 2014. Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law, obtained in 2008, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas, completed in 2005.
