Direct Support Professional at ARKANSAS SUPPORT NETWORK INC

Helena Tchoungang is an experienced professional currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas, where support is provided to Post-Doctoral and PhD students in cellulose nanocrystal research. Helena's work involves extracting cellulose nanocrystals and performing analyses on mechanical properties using rheological instruments. In addition, Helena has served as a Direct Support Professional with the Arkansas Support Network, aiding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Helena participated in the Health Sciences Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, winning first place for a new venture plan, and has engaged in research experiences through the Arkansas Summer Research Institute and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. Helena holds a Master of Science in Biological Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, along with an Associate of Science in premedical sciences from NorthWest Arkansas Community College.
