Ted Nieblas began their career in 1988 as a Seaman (non-rated) in the US Navy. Ted then went on to become a Stinger Missile Operator, Teletype Repairman/Technical Control Specialist, and Fleet Telecommunications Operations Center (FTOC) Supervisor, all while completing the necessary training and passing the fleet-wide rating exam to make Radioman (now Information Systems Technician-IT) 3RD class (E-4). In 1998, they moved on to become a Principal Software Engineer at Fidelity Investments, where they were a key contributor to the award winning Advisorexpress.com. In 2002, they took on the role of Computer Systems Manager at North Atlantic Distribution, Inc., where they managed 30+ workstations and 3 servers, as well as 23 industrial grade wireless access points covering over 90 acres. In 2004, they became a Java Consultant at Balboa Life & Casualty Insurance Group, and then in 2005, they became a Solution Provider/Software Engineer at Pipeline Software, Inc., where they designed and developed custom software solutions for a variety of industries. In 2008, they moved on to become a Senior Applications Developer at Pacific Life, where they were the lead developer for the Commissions processing system. In 2016, they became a Technical Customer Service Manager at iBASEt, where they transformed a Technical Support organization with 2 agents into a Customer Care organization. Finally, in 2020, they became a Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon, where they managed the Content Injection Framework for the Alexa Proactive Organization and coordinated efforts across multiple dependent teams.
Ted Nieblas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Programming) from National University between 1995 and 1997. Ted then went on to earn a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the same university between 1997 and 1998.
