Kenney Sharpton II

Kenney S. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and positions.

Kenney started working at DISA in 2010, where they served as an IT Specialist, focusing on InfoSec and system administration. Kenney provided guidance on secure systems and network management, conducted security evaluations, and managed Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure.

In 2012, Kenney joined USDA as an IT Specialist, specializing in network management. Kenney later took on the role of Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, where they served as the Technical Security Engineering Branch Chief and advised senior management on security-related activities.

In 2017, Kenney joined Armedia as a Senior Systems Engineer, and in 2018, they became the Director of Information Technology. Kenney provided technical expertise and leadership in various IT projects.

Kenney then moved to NTT Ltd. in 2019, working as a Senior DevOps Engineer. Kenney played a crucial role in developing and implementing DevOps practices.

In 2020, Kenney joined CTI as the DevOps Practice Lead, where they focused on leading the DevOps team and implementing best practices.

In 2021, Kenney transitioned to Aristocrat as the Director of DevOps, responsible for overseeing the DevOps operations.

Later in 2021, Kenney moved on to Veracode as an Anchor and Principal, Developer Enablement. Here, they played a key role in enabling developers to deliver secure software.

Currently, Kenney holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at Armedia, starting in 2023. In this role, they are responsible for leading the engineering team and driving technological innovation.

Kenney S. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Networks Design and Management from Western Governors University, which they attended from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, they have several additional certifications including Red Hat Certified Engineer from Red Hat, and CCENT, CCP-N (NetScaler 10), Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Internet Web Professional, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Project+, CompTIA Security+, ITIL v3 Foundations, MCTS Server 2008 Active Directory, MCTS Server 2008 Application Infrastructure, MCTS Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - 2003, and Sun Certified Java Associate.
