Indira Singaram, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they served as an Internship Trainee at Ansell. In 2013, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Kelaniya. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at the University of Illinois Chicago as an Undergraduate Laboratory Coordinator, Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant. In 2020, they became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the same university, where they identified a novel small molecule that modulates the Cholesterol-DVL2 interaction in Wnt signaling and investigated the mechanism of Cholesterol mediated tumor growth in breast cancer cells. In 2022, they became an Investigator - Protein Engineering at Aro Biotherapeutics.
Indira Singaram obtained a Bachelor's degree in Special Chemistry from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka in 2013. Indira then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they completed in 2020. In 2021, they obtained an Introduction to Molecular Modelling and Drug Discovery certification from Schrödinger.
