Dr. Isabella Maidment currently serves as Chief Curator and Head of Curatorial & Research at ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum since October 2023. Previously, Dr. Maidment held the position of Senior Curator at The Hepworth Wakefield for maternity cover from February to August 2023, curating the exhibition "Hurvin Anderson Salon Paintings." Dr. Maidment's extensive experience at Tate from 2014 to 2023 includes curatorial roles focused on Contemporary British Art, overseeing significant exhibitions such as Isaac Julien: What Freedom Is To Me and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye: Fly In League With The Night. Earlier positions included Assistant Curator for International Art and Contemporary British Art at Tate, as well as roles at Maureen Paley and Pilar Corrias Gallery. Dr. Maidment earned a Doctor of Philosophy in History of Art from UCL, a Master of Studies in History of Art from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art from UCL.
