Anna A. (Zabierek) Mathias has over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Anna A. began their career in 2002 as an Associate Scientist at ArQule, where they performed parallel synthesis of small molecule libraries using automated instrumentation. In 2004, they joined Merck as a Chemist in the Drug Design & Optimization and Parallel Synthesis departments. In 2009, they became a Field Automation Applications Engineer at Hamilton Company, where they developed and wrote automated liquid handler scripts. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Cubist Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Compound Manager and Automation Specialist, transitioning Compound Management from simple Tecan worklists to a fully integrated automated system. Anna A. then worked as a Compound Management Associate (Contractor) at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from 2013 to 2014, where they prepared samples of compound solutions in matrix tubes and plates. In 2016, they became an Automation Engineer at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc., where they wrote and validated automated liquid handler methods. Anna A. then joined Oxford Immunotec as a Laboratory Automation Engineer in 2019, and is currently a Senior Associate Scientist, Compound Management at Arrakis Therapeutics, where they designed and implemented a fully automated Compound Management platform.
Anna A. (Zabierek) Mathias received their Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University in 2002, majoring in Chemistry and Art History. Anna A. later took C++ Programming courses at Boston University from 2014 to 2015, focusing on Computer Science.
