Jason C. Stearns is a CRM, IGP, CIPP-US, CIPM with over 30 years of professional experience. Theircareer began in 1988 at Wegmans Food Markets as a GM Associate/Cashier/Price Change Coordinator. In 1997, they joined Practising Law Institute as a Customer Relations Representative and Supervisor, Collections. From 2002 to 2006, they were an Area Manager, Project Manager and Project Supervisor at Forrest Solutions. In 2006, they joined New York Life Insurance Company as an Assistant Vice President - Records Management and Corporate Vice President - Corporate Records Manager. In 2013, they moved to UBS as a Director, Group Information Governance. In 2014, they joined BlackRock as a Director, Legal & Compliance - Information Governance and Americas Privacy Lead. In 2020, they joined Citadel as an Information Governance Program Manager. Most recently, they joined Arrayo in 2021 as a Senior Consultant and Senior Practice Lead - Information Governance, Data Privacy & Records Management.
Jason C. Stearns holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Binghamton University, which they obtained between 1990 and 1996. Jason C. then went on to earn an MS in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon between 2008 and 2010. In 2019, they obtained a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. In 2018, they obtained a CIPP/US from the same institution. In 2013, they earned a Certified Information Governance Professional from ARMA International. Between 2009 and 2010, they obtained several certifications from LOMA, including Fellow, Financial Services Institute, Professional, Customer Service, Associate, Insurance Agency Administration, Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance, Associate, Reinsurance Administration, and Fellow, Life Management Institute. In 2007, they obtained a Certified Records Manager from the Institute of Certified Records Managers. Most recently, they are currently studying for a Master of Legal Studies in Cybersecurity & Privacy Compliance from Drexel University's Thomas R. Kline School of Law, which they expect to complete in 2021.
