Li Wang

Senior Scientist II at ArsenalBio

Li Wang has a strong background in computational biology and bioinformatics. They started their career as a Graduate Student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where they demonstrated the function and mechanism of transcription factor Foxc1 in regulating stem cell quiescence in hair follicle stem cells. They also designed and performed bioinformatic analysis on ATAC-Seq data to understand the genomic regulation mechanisms of tumor metastasis progression.

After completing their graduate studies, Li Wang joined Insight Data Science as a Fellow before moving on to the Broad Institute as a Computational Biologist. At the Broad Institute, they worked on computational analysis pipelines for RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, and ChIP-Seq data, with a focus on defining the transcription network of Foxc1 on stem cell quiescence.

Li Wang then joined 10X Genomics as a Computational Biologist before being promoted to the position of Senior Computational Biologist. They continued their work in developing computational analysis methods for genomics data.

In 2021, Li Wang joined PACT Pharma as a Senior Scientist, where they made significant contributions to their research in the field. Currently, Li Wang is employed at ArsenalBio as a Senior Scientist II.

Li Wang completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences at Fudan University from 2005 to 2009. Following that, from 2009 to 2015, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado Boulder. During their doctoral studies, Li Wang also obtained a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, in July 2015, they obtained a verified certificate for Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark from edX.
