Jorge Souza

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, raised in the same city, where he completed medical School at Universidade de São Paulo. He began his medical career working as a generalist doctor for the Navy voluntarily for a year, being responsible for the E.R. in the Air Force hospital. Dr. Jorge started the orthopedic residence program at Hospital das Clinicas (HC) in 2018 and finished it in 2021. From 2021 to 2022 underwent a fellowship program in Shoulder and Elbow surgery for the same institution and worked as Chief of Residents in the same period. Joined the Sociedade Brasileira de Ortopedia e Traumatologia (SBOT) and Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia de Ombro e Cotovelo (SBCOC) after being approved in the proficiency exams. Continued his career as a surgeon in private practice for a six-month period before joining Arthrex as a Clinical Specialist in 2022. In 2022 ended an MBA in Health Management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
