Kevin Neiles began their work experience in 1984 as a player for the Canadian Football League, initially playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and later joining the Calgary Stampeders. In 1986, while still playing football, they started working at Ranger Insurance, where they spent eight years learning the industry and performing various roles. In 1998, Neiles became the Regional President and Chief Marketing Officer at Gallagher, bringing over 29 years of experience in Commercial Insurance and Risk Management. Kevin also became a member of the World Presidents Organization and held the position of Vice-Chair at the True North Youth Foundation starting in 2011.

Kevin Neiles attended the University of Manitoba from 1977 to 1981, where they received a Bachelor of Physical Education. Kevin continued their education at the same university from 1981 to 1982, studying Post Graduate Studies in Health and Physical Education/Fitness. In addition to their academic degrees, Kevin Neiles also obtained certifications such as Certified Risk Management (CRM) from the Global Risk Management Institute in 2006 and Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) Honours from the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) in 1995.
