Raphael Roettgen

Advisor at Artificial Brain

Raphael Roettgen, CFA, is a seasoned venture capital investor and educator with a focus on the space industry. As the Founder and Partner of E2MC Ventures since September 2019, Raphael invests in space startups and has co-founded India's first VC-backed space startup accelerator, KickSky, in August 2023. Raphael serves as a co-founder of Prometheus Life Technologies, a space biotech startup recognized for its innovation and incubated by ESA-BIC. Additionally, Raphael is a lecturer at EPFL, teaching a course on the New Space Economy, and holds positions as adjunct faculty and governing member at the International Space University. Raphael hosts the Space Business Podcast, engaging with space entrepreneurs and stakeholders, and has contributed as an associate/mentor at Creative Destruction Lab and as an advisor to Artificial Brain. Educationally, Raphael holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and dual degrees in Finance and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
