Usha Lokala

Usha Lokala has extensive experience in academia and research, currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of South Carolina since August 2020. Previously, Usha worked at Wright State University as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant and an Adjunct Faculty Instructor, teaching Python Programming. Usha's research experience includes a role as an NLP Semantic Research Scientist Intern at the National Institutes of Health and contributions to interdisciplinary projects involving machine learning and ontology creation. Usha's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina and multiple degrees from Wright State University, including a Master's degree in Computer Science and a certificate in Big and Smart Data Sciences. Prior to the academic career, Usha worked as an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant and Associate Software Engineer, focusing on various programming and technical design roles.
