Liz Powers is the Co-Founder, Chief Happiness Spreader & CEO at ArtLifting. Liz has dedicated their career to empowering marginalized artists and communities through creativity and art.

Liz's passion for art and social justice began when they were a Rotary Global Grant Scholar. As a Rotary Global Grant Scholar, Liz received full funding to obtain a Masters' Degree at the University of Edinburgh. While completing their Masters' Degree, Liz founded art collectives with homeless and low-income individuals to provide a supportive environment and creative outlet. In addition, Liz created "Arts in Action" - a large art show and performance in downtown Edinburgh that empowered marginalized artists. Additionally, Liz gave 20 speeches at Rotary Clubs throughout the United Kingdom and the United States regarding their service work.

After their time as a Rotary Global Grant Scholar, Liz continued their work empowering marginalized communities as the Founder and Director of City Heart - an organization that provides creative programming for at-risk youth. Liz also served as the Lowell House Masters' Residence Manager at Harvard University, where they oversaw all aspects of student life for 50 undergraduate students.

In 2015, Liz co-founded ArtLifting - an organization that supports artists experiencing homelessness or poverty by connecting them with galleries, collectors, and corporations who commission their work. Under Liz's leadership, ArtLifting has grown from serving 5 artists to over 400 artists in 22 states across the United States. ArtLifting has also been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, NPR, and numerous other publications.

Liz Powers completed a BA in Sociology, cum laude, at Harvard University. Liz then went on to complete an MSc in Interdisciplinary Creative Practices at The University of Edinburgh.
