Director Of Product Design at Artsy

Jimi Rowe has a diverse work experience in product design, user experience, and graphic design. Jimi is currently working as the Director of Product Design at Artsy since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Culture Trip as the Head of User Experience & Design from April 2021 to April 2022, and as the Director of Product Design from February 2020 to April 2021. In their role as Lead Product Designer at Culture Trip from November 2018 to February 2020, they focused on building a design team and practice in the London office.

Before joining Culture Trip, Jimi worked at Transport for London as the Experience Lead from October 2017 to October 2018, where they led strategic design for various digital experiences. Jimi also gained experience at the BBC, where they held roles such as Creative Director for News & World Service from November 2015 to October 2017 and Senior User Experience Designer from October 2014 to November 2015.

Jimi started their career as a Graphic Designer at Davison Williams from April 2007 to November 2010. Jimi has also worked as a Principle Designer and Senior UI Designer at Massive Interactive from September 2013 to August 2014 and August 2011 to September 2013, respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Designer at Digitas Health from November 2010 to August 2011, focusing on digital marketing and advertising for the healthcare industry.

Earlier in their career, Jimi had freelance roles as a UX/UI designer at Massive Interactive and as a Concept Designer at Naked Communications in 2006. Jimi also ran their own design studio, Design Makes Me Blush, from April 2009 to April 2017. Overall, Jimi has a strong background in design leadership and has worked on a wide range of projects in various industries.

Jimi Rowe attended the Design Centre at the Sydney Institute, TAFE from 2000 to 2004. During this time, they obtained an Advanced Diploma, studying various fields including Graphic Design, Web Production, Costume making, and Events & Entertainment Design.
