Katherine O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Katherine is currently employed at Artsy, where they started in January 2022 as the People Operations Lead. Prior to this role, Katherine held the position of Senior People Operations Manager from July 2020 to January 2022, and served as a People Operations Manager from March 2018 to July 2020. Katherine initially joined Artsy as a People Operations Associate in March 2017 and later became a People Operations Coordinator, where they worked from October 2015 to March 2017.
Before joining Artsy, Katherine worked at the Guggenheim Museum as an Administrative Coordinator from July 2014 to October 2015. Katherine also gained experience at the Whitney Museum of American Art as an Intern from January 2014 to June 2014.
Earlier in their career, Katherine joined the J. Paul Getty Museum as a Project Management Coordinator, a role they held from an undetermined start date in 2007 to December 2012. Katherine was then promoted to the position of Senior Project Management Coordinator and worked until August 2013.
Katherine's involvement in the arts industry extends beyond their employment. Katherine served on the Board of Directors for Create Now, an organization, from July 2012 to May 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Communications Specialist at artfairs, inc. from August 2006 to November 2007, and as a Freelance Art Consultant at Duncan Miller Gallery from May 2006 to January 2007.
Katherine O'Connor completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art History and Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where they studied between 2001 and 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Arts Administration at Columbia University from 2013 to 2015.
