Sammie Harroun currently serves as a Performing Arts Teacher at Denver Public Schools since August 2018 and has been a Drama Camp Instructor at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities since May 2015, focusing on a wide range of theatrical activities for children aged 3-12. Additional experience includes roles as a Senior Resident Assistant for the Department of Housing and Residential Education, promoting community engagement and diversity among residents in Lawrenson Hall, and as a Summer Hall Director managing both staff and residents during summer housing at UNC. Sammie previously completed a student teaching placement in a third-grade classroom at Sanborn Elementary School and has held various positions in residential education, including Resident Assistant and Summer Hall Director. Early career experience includes working as an Electrician for the School of Theatre Arts and Dance, specializing in lighting design and technical support. Sammie holds a degree in Design and Technology for Theatre, with a concentration in Lighting Design, from the University of Northern Colorado.
