Puvin Pichai has worked in a variety of roles in the food and chemical industries. Puvin began their career in 1998 as a Group Leader at Arkema, where they promoted novel techniques for process optimization & control and new product discovery, as well as championing cutting-edge technology for acrylics coatings applications. In 2005, they moved to International Flavors & Fragrances as a Research Fellow, where they developed and commercialized new technologies to support and grow the business, and initiated collaborative research with universities and industrial partners. In 2009, they became a Principal Scientist at Rive Technology. In 2011, they joined Novus International, Inc. as an Executive Manager of Process Technology. In 2019, they became Director of Process Research at Beyond Meat, and in 2021 they moved to Rebellyous Foods as Director of ER&D. Currently, they are a Senior Director of DSP at Arzeda.
Puvin Pichai obtained their Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech, followed by an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the same institution. Puvin then went on to obtain a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Chemistry from Harvard University.
