Susan Muthoni

Susan Muthoni has four years of work experience in the field of data science. In 2022, they joined Carnegie Mellon University Africa as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Data Inference and Applied Machine Learning, where they enjoyed sharing knowledge of their expertise. Susan also joined Asaak as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they were responsible for extracting relevant data from BigQuery, wrangling data, exploring different data transformation techniques, and performing both univariate and bivariate exploratory analysis. In the same year, they joined hiveonline ApS as a Data Scientist. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at BURN from 2019 to 2022, where they conducted exploratory data analysis and created informative visualizations using R, created meaningful dashboards for incoming projects using Excel and Power BI, and developed and tested algorithms using Python and R to automate BI deliverables.

Susan Muthoni is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Technology at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, which they began in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, which they completed in 2019. In September 2022, they obtained a certification in SQL for Data Science from Coursera.
