Youssef Elwakil

Youssef Elwakil is a skilled software engineer with a strong background in developing innovative APIs and cross-platform mobile applications. Currently at ASB Bank since March 2023, Youssef focuses on enhancing Open Banking functionality while ensuring code reliability through unit testing. As the founder of Halal Go since April 2023, Youssef has successfully developed and maintained user-friendly mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android. Previous experience includes roles at IQVIA, where Youssef contributed to the OCE product, and Gallagher, where an application was developed for cloud communication using machine learning. Youssef began the journey in software development as an intern at PlantTech Research Institute Ltd., implementing machine learning models. Youssef holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering with First Class Honours from The University of Waikato.
