Carol Zhao

Carol Zhao serves as Head of Biostatistics at Ascendis Pharma since February 2022 and holds the position of Senior Director of Biostatistics at Global Blood Therapeutics since November 2021. In this role, Carol Zhao leads statistical support for clinical programs, publications, and regulatory submissions, ensuring statistical integrity and contributing to drug development plans. Prior to these positions, Carol Zhao was Site Head of Biostatistics and Director of Biostatistics at Actelion Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included building a biostatistical team and overseeing statistical analyses in pulmonary arterial hypertension studies. Carol Zhao's experience also encompasses positions at Nektar Therapeutics and Facet Biotech, among others, demonstrating a strong background in biostatistics and clinical development.
