Michael Huff

Michael Huff has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles in the specialty chemicals and private equity industries. Michael currently serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman at Ascensus Specialties since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Co-Chairman at the same company since June 2022. Michael also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Ascensus Specialties from April 2018 to December 2022.

In addition to their role at Ascensus Specialties, Michael Huff has also been a Board Member at Aurora Plastics, LLC since January 2022. Michael founded their own company, Pinnacle Performance Consulting, LLC, in December 2016.

Before starting their own company, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Vertellus Performance Chemicals from March 2017 to April 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Charlesbank Capital Partners from October 2016 to March 2017 and as an Operating Partner at Arsenal Capital Partners from November 2015 to September 2016.

Michael has also held significant positions at Citadel Plastics, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer from October 2010 to June 2015 and as the Chief Operating Officer from October 2008 to October 2010.

Earlier in their career, Michael Huff worked at Johns Manville as the VP, Global Fiberglass Reinforcements from December 2004 to November 2007 and as the Vice President, Insulation Grp Operations from June 2003 to December 2004. Michael also held multiple roles at GE Plastics, including General Manager positions in Global Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security; Crystalline Polymers; and High Performance Polymers. Michael started their career at GE Plastics as a Plant Manager in Crystalline Polymers.

Michael Huff earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. Later, from 1980 to 1982, they attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake to pursue Business Administration and Management, General, although it does not specify whether they obtained a degree in this field.
