Dave Kane Fraes

Dave Kane MA FRAeS is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in flight instruction, display coordination, and military leadership. Currently serving as a Qualified Simulator Flying Instructor at Ascent Flight Training and Flying Display Director at R5 Air Displays Ltd, Dave has also contributed to educational governance as a Parent Governor at Upton By Chester High School. Dave's military career with the Royal Air Force spanned over three decades, including roles such as Commanding Officer of V(AC) Squadron and 34 Expeditionary Air Wing, as well as Deputy OC for Manchester and Salford Universities Air Squadron. Responsibilities included leading multiple operations in conflict zones and overseeing significant defense programs at the UK Ministry of Defence. Dave holds an MA in Defence Studies from King's College London and has completed advanced military training at the Joint Services Command and Staff College.
