Nigel Thorpe CFS is an experienced helicopter instructor and aviation professional with a robust background in training and operational roles. Currently serving as a STEM Ambassador at STEM Ambassadors and holding positions as a Helicopter Advisory Committee Member and Vice Chair of the Ascent Helicopter Services Company Council at the British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA), Nigel has also been an A2 Qualified Helicopter Instructor at Ascent Flight Training since 2019, specializing in training military helicopter pilots. Prior experience includes roles as a Helicopter Simulator Instructor at Inzpire Ltd and an extensive career in the Royal Air Force, where Nigel held various instructional and leadership positions, successfully delivering advanced training and managing operational deployments.
