Seth Formal

Seth Formal is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in capital markets and strategic management. Currently serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Career Funding at Ascent Funding since February 2020, Seth has held various leadership roles in corporate strategy and finance within the organization, which is recognized for its innovative approach to student financing. Prior to Ascent Funding, Seth worked at Goal Structured Solutions, Inc. and Capital One, where responsibilities included managing teams and leveraging data analytics to drive business strategy. Earlier career experiences at Fannie Mae involved significant contributions to credit loss forecasting and risk analytics, demonstrating expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Seth holds an MBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and a BBA with a double major in Finance and Economics from James Madison University, complemented by education at the Norwegian School of Economics.
