Christopher Piggott, PhD

Christopher Piggott, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the scientific and research field. Christopher currently holds the role of Scientist I at Ascidian Therapeutics, where they started in March 2023. Previously, they worked as a Scientist I at CRISP-HR Therapeutics, Inc. from August 2021 to December 2022.

Before that, Christopher worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC San Diego from February 2021 to July 2021. Christopher also served as a PhD student at UC San Diego from September 2014 to December 2020, during which they also held the position of Instructional Assistant from September 2015 to June 2018.

In their earlier career, Christopher gained experience as an Undergraduate Thesis Student at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute from May 2013 to August 2014. Christopher also worked as a Work Study Student at Princess Margaret Hospital from September 2012 to April 2013, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Toronto Western Hospital from May 2012 to August 2012.

Christopher then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto - Victoria University from 2010 to 2014. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology from UC San Diego, which they completed from 2014 to 2020.
