Nasrat Khalid has extensive work experience in various roles related to information technology and digital economy. Nasrat is the founder and CEO of ASEELapp, a platform aimed at onboarding underserved communities and countries to the digital economy. Nasrat has also led initiatives such as Aseel Handmade, which enables artisans to sell their products globally, and Aseel Emergency Response, which provides emergency food supplies in Afghanistan.
Additionally, Nasrat has worked as an Information Technology Architect at The World Bank, where they supported the development portfolio in Afghanistan as a technical IT resource. Nasrat Khalid obtained a Master's Degree in Business and Management from the University of Essex, which they attended from 2013 to 2015. In 2005, they became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows Server 2003 (MCSE) from Microsoft. In 2010, they obtained two more certifications: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIP-E) from Juniper Networks and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from Cisco.
