Matt Wood

Matt Wood has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Matt co-founded Angstrom Sports in 2018 and currently holds that position. Before that, they worked at Sporting Group as the Head of Quantitative Analysis from March 2018 to October 2018. Prior to their role at Angstrom Sports, they had a long tenure at Sporting Group starting from 1999. During their time at Sporting Group, they held various roles including Head of Capital Management from March 2012 to March 2017, Head of Modelling from March 2005 to March 2012, Senior Trader from March 2001 to March 2005, and Trader from September 1999 to March 2001.

Matt Wood attended The Manchester Grammar School from 1988 to 1995, where they studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Matt then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of Leeds from 1995 to 1999.
