Guratinder Kaur

Guratinder Kaur is a highly experienced physicist with a strong focus on condensed matter and materials physics, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Edinburgh since January 2022. Guratinder has also held the position of Education Mentor at VigyanShaala International since April 2021 and has been involved as a volunteer with Asha for Education since April 2018. With a solid academic background, Guratinder earned a PhD in Physics (distinction magna cum laude) from the Paul Scherrer Institut in 2021 and has participated in various prestigious conferences, including as a Poster Presenter at the International Conference on Highly Frustrated Magnetism from 2018 to 2024. Professional experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research and a PhD Student at Paul Scherrer Institut, alongside hands-on expertise in nano fabrication and spintronics from earlier research positions.
