Amita Kumar

Amita Kumar is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as an Executive Council Member and Member of the Women's Physician Section at Texas Medical Association since April 2023, Amita also holds the position of Vice President of Development at The Patient Institute since November 2023. Additionally, Amita is a member of the Bexar County Medical Society and a Board Member at Planned Parenthood South Texas, both since 2022. As a Health and Life Coach at Mindful Coaching since January 2022, and a Marketing Specialist at Ashford Communities since October 2021, Amita combines healthcare expertise with community engagement. Prior to these roles, Amita practiced as a Medical Doctor at Health Texas Medical Group of San Antonio from October 2015 to March 2023 and served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky from September 2010 to March 2013. Educational qualifications include multiple Doctor of Medicine degrees from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the University of Kentucky.
