Louise Crooks has an extensive work experience, starting in 1998 at the University of Phoenix, where they held various roles such as Research Lead, Web Applications Analyst, and Project Analyst. Louise then worked at Specialized Association Services as a Web Developer and later became the Supervisor of Web Development. Following that, they joined Client Development Services as an Architect and Lead Developer on a contract basis. In 2008, they worked at LIK Fine Art as the Lead Developer on a contract basis.
From 2008 to 2018, Louise worked at Pier 1, holding multiple senior management roles in data analytics, machine learning, and information management. Louise started as a Senior Developer of Business Analytics Applications and gradually progressed to become the Senior Manager of Data Services and Mainframe Systems, Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics and Information Management, and finally, Senior Manager of Data Architecture and Machine Learning.
In 2019, Louise joined PwC as the Director of the PwC Labs Global Data Platform, responsible for overseeing their global data platform.
Currently, Louise is serving as the VP of IT, CX, and Enterprise Data at Ashley Furniture Industries. Louise previously held the role of Senior Director of Enterprise Data Management and Engineering at the same company.
Louise Crooks has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology, Classical Studies, and Art History from Trinity University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Louise also pursued Middle Eastern Studies and earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the University of Arizona from 2000 to 2003. In 2001, they attended Boğaziçi University for Intensive Turkish Language studies. Additionally, Louise attended The American University in Cairo in 1997 for archaeology studies. Prior to their university education, they attended Ursuline Academy from 1990 to 1994.
Louise Crooks has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Digital Acumen from PwC in 2019 and the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification from DAMA in 2016. Louise also holds multiple certifications from Microsoft, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certification in 2020. Louise is a Certified SAFe 4 Agilist and a Certified SAFe 6 Agilist, both obtained from Scaled Agile Inc in 2020 and 2023 respectively. Furthermore, they hold a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, and completed the Human-Centered Design course from PwC.
