Tim Adams has a diverse work experience in supply chain and procurement. Tim started their career in 1996 at Merck as a Commodity Leader and progressed to roles such as Senior Business Supply Chain Analyst and Supply Chain-IT Core Manager. At Merck, they were responsible for managing teams focused on production planning, materials management, quality, accounts payables, and master data.
In 2006, Adams joined Kohler Co. as the Manager of e-Procurement Development, where they led a global team in the development and deployment of electronic business solutions across multiple business units and regions. Tim later became the Manager of Global Procurement Processes & Systems, where they created a team dedicated to delivering best-fit procurement processes, systems, and tools across all global units.
Since 2017, Adams has been working at Ashley Furniture Industries as the Director of Global Purchasing, Systems and Supply Chain. In this newly created role, they focus on creating a world-class supply chain and procurement organization by empowering associates, enhancing processes, and leveraging technology to drive extraordinary results. Tim also advances category management principles and creates business strategies to ensure the delivery of best-fit solutions across the enterprise.
Tim Adams CSCP has an MBA in Finance & International Business from Concordia University-Wisconsin, which they obtained from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2000, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Upper Iowa University. In addition to their degrees, they also have certifications in APICS-CSCP from APICS in 2010, and PMP from PMI Chicagoland Chapter in 2008.
