Rachel Davies

Rachel Davies serves as the Director of Operations at The Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford since October 2017, overseeing operational leadership and financial sustainability. Prior experience includes the role of Deputy Director at Compton Verney House Trust from July 2001 to September 2017, where responsibilities encompassed commercial and operational management, strategic leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Rachel also held a position in Project Finance at Tate from 1996 to 2001, focusing on financial management and coordination for projects, and served as Financial Controller at Buena Vista, Walt Disney from 1995 to 1996, managing a busy finance function for a multimillion-pound business. Rachel's educational background includes a BA in History and History of Art from the University of Bristol, an MA in Museum and Gallery Management from City, University of London, and participation in the Oxford Cultural Leaders Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
