Barath Rajagopalan

Barath Rajagopalan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as the Head of Institutional Sales and Project Leader for the Bus Migration Program at Ashok Leyland since May 2007. Barath leads a cross-functional team focused on migrating bus platforms to meet new emission norms and performance benchmarks, while also contributing as a core team member in an innovation process aimed at prioritizing ideas based on revenue potential and success likelihood. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Engineer at Advanced Engineering - Ashok Leyland, where Barath formulated a roadmap for using alternate materials in commercial vehicles, and as a Graduate Intern at Scientific Research Labs - Ford Motor Company, studying magnesium corrosion. Barath holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras.
