Sanjeewa Fernando

Sanjeewa Fernando currently serves as the Chief Economist & Strategist at Asia Securities since May 2023. Prior to this role, Sanjeewa held significant positions at CT CLSA from January 2016 to February 2023, including Executive Director Research and Strategist for Sri Lanka, where contributions involved equity broking and capital markets services. Sanjeewa was also a Lecturer at the University of Colombo from January 2014 to December 2018, specializing in Financial Institutions of Sri Lanka. Additional experience includes a consultancy role at Sure Cash (pvt) ltd, strategizing for a venture capital project, and previous positions as a strategist and research analyst at C T Smith Stockbrokers (Pvt) Ltd. Sanjeewa's career began in audit roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Tissa Fernando & Co, with a strong academic background including degrees in Financial Economics and Marketing from the University of Colombo and Manipal University, respectively.
