Erum Kidwai

Erum Kidwai is a legal professional currently serving as a South Asian Legal Impact Fellow at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund since September 2023. Prior to this role, Erum worked as a Staff Attorney at The Legal Aid Society from September 2022 to September 2023 and completed a Legal Externship at Project South in 2021. Earlier experiences include a Summer Legal Internship at People's Law Office and serving as a Student Attorney at the International Women's Human Rights Clinic at Georgetown Law. Furthermore, Erum interned at the Office of the Public Defender, 9th Judicial Circuit, and held positions as a Summer Legal Intern at Community Justice Project, Inc. and an Outreach and Engagement Intern at The Children's Movement of Florida. Erum's professional journey began as an Americorps Member at City Year, followed by a role as a Victim Advocate at No More Tears. Erum holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from the University of Miami.
