Craig Roberts is the current Senior Advisor at the Asian Development Bank. Prior to this, they were the Head of Portfolio Management for RBS Markets and International Banking in APAC from October 1998 to October 2014. In this role, they were responsible for the regional lending portfolio of GBP14bn+ and the financial markets business (derivatives and structured credit) from a capital, risk & returns perspective. Craig was also eligible to chair the International Banking APAC Capital Allocation Committee and was a member of the International Banking APAC New Business & Reputational Risk Committee (Debt Capital Market arranging mandates, advisory mandates etc.).
Prior to their work at RBS, Craig Roberts was a Higher Executive Officer at The Home Office from September 1995 to August 1998. In this role, they were responsible for representing the Secretary of State in Immigration Appeal Tribunals, specializing in political asylum appeal hearings.
Craig Roberts has a Master of Laws in Public International Law from UCL, a Barrister in English Law from Inns of Court School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws in Business Law from The City of London Polytechnic. Craig also has certification from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in Business, International Relations and the Political Economy, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in MBA Essentials, the FT Non-Executive Director Programme in Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma - Pearson SRF BTEC Level 7 Advanced Professional Diploma, the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in Global Association of Risk Professionals International Certificate in Banking Risk and Regulation, and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Certificate in Corporate Finance.
