Kamel Bouhmad possesses extensive experience in urban planning and transport management, currently serving as the Country Operations Head at the Asian Development Bank since January 2016, with previous roles including Deputy Country Director and Senior Portfolio Management Specialist. Prior to this, Kamel was a Program Officer at UN-HABITAT and worked as an Urban Transport Consultant for CODATU, co-authoring the Handbook of Good Practices "Who Pays What for Urban Transport" (2014 Edition). Kamel's background includes project management positions with the Agence Française de Développement and TRANSITEC, as well as change management consulting at Accenture. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in International Construction Contracts from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, a Master’s in Urban Planning and Urban Services Management from the Institut d'études politiques de Rennes, and a Master of Engineering from IMT Atlantique, along with a Master of Science in Mechanics and Energetics from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
