Sona Shrestha

Sona Shrestha is the current Deputy Director General at the Asian Development Bank. Sona has worked in various finance-related positions for over 15 years. Prior to their current role, they served as the director for public management, finance and trade in southeast asia for the asian development bank from February 2003 to June 2019. Before that, they were a senior economist at the reserve bank of australia from October 2001 to December 2002.

Sona Shrestha has a doctorate from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a bachelor's degree from Smith College, and has attended Columbia Business School.

Sona Shrestha reports to Emmanuel Jimenez, Director General, Independent Evaluation Department. Sona Shrestha works with Joanne Asquith - Director, Thematic & Country Division, Nathan Subramaniam - Director, Sector & Project Division.
