Jim Umstead

Jim Umstead is a seasoned Controls Engineer with extensive experience in the automation industry. Currently employed at ASIC Corp since May 2021, Jim previously served as Controls Engineering Manager at Omega Automation from April 2014 to May 2021. Prior roles include Electrical Engineer at Automation Systems and Design, Inc. from October 2010 to April 2014, and Electrical Engineer at Automation Integration Solutions, Inc. from January 2005 to October 2010, focusing on start-up operations and machine shop support. Additionally, Jim worked as a Controls Engineer at PDSI from August 2006 to January 2009, contributing to custom machinery manufacturing and robotics integration. Jim holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton, earned between 1990 and 1994.
