Casper Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Casper started their career in 2009 as a Game Advisor at GameStop, where they excelled in managing multiple tasks and providing excellent customer service.
In 2010, Casper joined the Northeastern University as a Gallery/Information Desk Attendant and Security personnel, where they maintained a safe and organized environment for gallery patrons. Casper also worked as a Tutor in the Computer Science Department, assisting students with Java programming concepts.
Casper's passion for game development led him to co-found Urban Electronics Game Development in 2011. As a Co-Founder (Design), Game Designer, and Software Development Engineer, they collaborated with a small team to create an innovative gaming experience and showcased their project at PAXEast.
Casper then explored the field of software engineering, starting as a Software Quality Engineer Co-op at PHT Corporation. Casper worked closely with a development team, designing test cases and validating critical software used in live drug studies.
Casper joined iD Tech Camps in 2010, serving in various roles, including Lead Instructor and Curriculum Developer. Casper taught programming languages and software tools to youth and received recognition as Staff of the Week.
Moving into the software industry, Casper joined ZeroTurnaround in 2012. Casper worked as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Lead Pre-Sales Engineer, Support Manager, and Global Pre-Sales Engineering Manager. In these roles, they demonstrated, integrated, and troubleshooted products with clients remotely and developed training curriculums for sales teams.
In 2018, Casper briefly worked as a Sales Engineering Manager at Drift, where they acted as a liaison between customer-facing and non-customer-facing departments, ensuring a comprehensive adoption strategy.
From 2019 onwards, Casper has been working at ASICS Digital (formerly Runkeeper). Casper started as a Senior Solutions Architect, Site Reliability Engineering, responsible for managing and improving application infrastructure globally. Currently, they serve as a Principal Engineer, overseeing the backend API and assisting in migration and sunsetting of different versions.
Throughout their career, Casper has consistently demonstrated technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and an ability to adapt to different environments and technologies.
Casper Thomas completed their education from 2007 to 2012 at Northeastern University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cultural Anthropology. In addition to their major, they also pursued minors in Computer Science, Business, and History.
