Janneke Wijman

Janneke Wijman currently serves as a Juridisch casemanager/legal aid officer at ASKV / Steunpunt Vluchtelingen since June 2023. Previously, Janneke held the position of Caseworker at Khora Asylum Support Team from November 2022 to May 2023, assisting individuals with asylum procedures and social services in Greece. Additional experience includes an internship at SOLIDARITYNOW in early 2023, working as a Projectmedewerker for Ukrainian refugee support at Gemeente Amstelveen, and volunteering at CAWU Learning Centre focusing on educational support for African refugees. Janneke also interned at the Center for Arab-West Understanding and worked at the Jerusalem Center for Women. Engagement in local politics as a member of GroenLinks Waterland further complements Janneke's background, which is enriched by a Master of Science in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam and extensive studies in Middle Eastern studies and political science.
