Paul Whelan

Paul Whelan is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Flight Operations Technical & Compliance Manager at ASL Airlines Ireland since November 2021. Prior to this role, Paul worked as a Flight Operations Inspector with the Irish Aviation Authority from November 2014 to December 2022. Paul has a notable background in the Irish Air Corps, where responsibilities included Officer Commanding at the Air Corps College and serving as Second in Command of No 1 Operations Wing. Additionally, Paul worked as a Press Officer for the Irish Air Corps and was involved in recruitment from 2000 to 2004. Paul Whelan holds an MA in Leadership and Management from Maynooth University, obtained between 2005 and 2006, and completed education at Naas CBS from 1983 to 1988.
