Shankar Swaminathan

Shankar Swaminathan is an accomplished leader in global product marketing and process technology within the semiconductor industry, currently serving as the Head of Global Product Marketing for CVD products at ASM since 2017. With a proven track record in new product development, Shankar built a strategic ALD program, leading to the shipment of the industry's first thermal ALD tools, and received the 2018 Inventor of the Year award. Prior roles include Director of Process and Applications Development at ASM and senior management positions at Lam Research and Novellus Systems, where Shankar drove significant advancements in atomic layer deposition technologies and cultivated key customer relationships. Shankar holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree from Stanford University, along with a Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
